Sorry guys!

Hey guys! Sorry that I missed a day! I have been crazy busy! this is pretty tough work. trying to keep my grades up and work on Kony all at the same time. I am working on it right now:). The whole thing is going great! We are going to decide tomorrow where we want to go from here! sorry that this blog is kinda short... but I have a lot to accomplish tonight still:) Thank for reading:)

.. according to plan..

Well everybody, today did not go quite according to plan. I was going to present my presentation to the school board today, but I was told that it would be smarter to wait, to gather more information. I guess that I see how they would think that, but that does not make it hurt any less. It just sucks that I worked so extremely hard for the past few days to get it down by today... and then it ended up that I didn't even needed to have it done. I just don't know how to feel about this. Today just did not quite go the way that I had planned.

Tomorrow is the big day!

Hey guys! It's me again. Todays post will be a little bit shorter, cause I have a BIG day tomorrow! That's wright, tomorrow is when I speak to the school board. At this point I have to say that I am so very nervous! I speak in front of crowds all the time. I think that what i am most nervous for is the fact that i am trying to do something big, even though I am so small. I have just talked about this in front of my mother and she seemed to proud of me! I think that I am ready. Just a few finishing touches to my video, and I will be ready to go! Wish me lucks guys!

Good/bad news:/

Alright ladies and gentlemen! Today, I have some absolutely GREAT news and come not so good news. Like always, I am going to start with the great news! My mother called me today and she seemed very happy! She told me that she would give me $1000 to spend towards the fundraiser that is going to the invisible children foundation! I am so happy and things could not have gotten better. The only other thing that did not really make my day all that great was a teacher gave me some, disheartening news. She thinks that I should wait a month before I present to the school board. So now, I have to consider what the Dean said and what she said. I guess, that I just have a lot on my mind tonight.

Newsss!!!

Hey guys! I have great news!! The dean of my high school has e-mailed me back! this is what he sent to me.

"Kelly, I am glad to see you taking on the though of such a project. We have a school board meeting on Monday starting at 4:00 and I would love to have you come make a presentation to the school board. I will be here all day today (Friday) if you wanted to talk to me or you could stop in Monday at my office. Put some thought into what you would like to tell them and how you would proceed and this will be a great project for you. It would be great to address the students as well.

Mr. C."

I am not only excited for this, but also I have to admit that I am a tad bit nerves. I have no problems with speaking in front of crowds, its just the whole trying to make sense, and tie the ends of this whole act together.

Who am i?

My name is Kelly Vande Brake. I am 15 years old. I am a sophomore at Deuel High School. I have known about this for a while now, and I figured that it was about time for me to stop watching, and listening, and start doing something about it. So finally, I took a chance and e-mailed the dean of my high school and asked him if he thought that it would be alright for me to hang up flyers and talk to my student body about the Kony2012/Invisible Children fundraiser. Unfortunately he has not responded to my e-mails, but I also e-mailed another teacher. The teacher has had an extremely large impact of my high school carrier so far. She has taught me so much about people and that way that media gets spread. When she found out about the ideas that I had she seemed more then ecstatic about it. My goal, if nothing else, is to help spread the word about Invisible Children. NOBODY should have to go through what these people go though. That is it for now, but I will try to post everyday, keep who ever it is that reads this, up to date on how my plans are going, and what my Dean says.
